I have been using the same desktop keyboard from a computer we bought from 1995. I’m using it with my laptop now because it’s just so easy to type with. Other keyboards I’ve tried just don’t feel the same. And now these days they’re going with flatter keys. I know it looks good but I prefer the classic, thanks. Our Packard Bell pc was slow as heck, even back then we were frustrated at how slow it would open a webpage. Nevertheless, it stuck around for ten years. I used it as my personal writing computer. Without the Internet it gave me less distractions and I would sometimes spend 12 hours on there just writing. I’ll only be away from it for food and to use the bathroom.
Packard Bell was my first computer and I think I’ll always have an attachment to the brand. I’d actually like to own a t-shirt with the 90s logo. I don’t like the new logo at all. It’s so boring. Just PB. What was wrong with the retro-dude?
Australia no longer stocks them and I wonder why (Okay so they got a bad reputation but I’m sure they have improved and met today’s standards). I remember looking for a new computer for my brother (2000) and the best looking one of the long shelf was a Packard Bell. It looked huge with a framed glass window placed over the monitor (my friend says it’s to prevent glare) and it was green. A green computer. It was beautiful. We didn’t buy it because it was out our budget.
Where did they go? They need better advertisement or something. They should bring back the 90s logo.
